Concord Library Links is where professors insert URLs specific to courses. This area also contains collections--such as “the health law section” and the “first-year” section, designed for new students. A continuous review of the website links ensures that they are up-to-date and relevant. Faculty and student contributions, questions, and suggestions are directed to the librarians via email.
Westlaw, one of the nation’s leading online legal research services, contains thousands of databases of primary law at both the federal and state levels, as well as secondary sources.
HeinOnline provides access to law reviews, journals, treatisies, and an historical record of the Federal Register.
Versuslaw offers a collection of federal, state, tribal, and foreign court opinions.
Kaplan Online Library is a collection of electronic resources, including Academic Search Premier, Business Search Premier, newspapers, and many more resources.
Concord Associate Dean Stephen Burnett, JD, MSLS, oversees information services at Concord. He was the Law Librarian at George Mason University School of Law and Associate Dean for Information Services at Seattle University School of Law. Dean Burnett and Professor Shaun Jamison JD, PhD, the assistant director of library services, are available to assist students in their research and with their questions. Students are instructed on how to search Westlaw efficiently and can opt for additional training via Webex from Westlaw. Book based research skills are covered as well.
