Concord is committed to each individual student and believes that only through personal contact with professors, counselors, and administrators trained in Student Services can students reach their highest potential and achieve their career goals.
EJD students are assigned a Law Advisor who works in tandem with the section professor/s to address student questions and concerns. Most students juggle work, family – and often, travel – schedules. The flexible nature of the Concord education allows them to integrate their law studies with their other responsibilities. Yet there are times when students need assistance in establishing an effective study schedule or method. The EJD Law Advisor is well-versed in the specifics of the program and is there to counsel students on study plan issues as well as course selections.
Concord’s policy is to be proactive in monitoring student progress in terms of pacing and academic achievement. If a student is having difficulty with the material, the Law Advisor may meet with the student, facilitate a professor conference or direct the student to an academic support program. And, although the EJD student is not subject to the strict pacing rules required by the State Bar in the JD program, the Law Advisor also works with students so they maintain their progress through the coursework and achieve their educational goals.
