Concord’s virtual halls house a vibrant and
accomplished student body. At graduation, many of our graduates are seasoned professionals with a wealth of experience who have
further strengthened their skills and abilities through a legal education. Most have gone to law school while managing significant
work and family responsibilities. Successfully completing Concord Law
School’s rigorous program of legal education is evidence of a graduate’s
commitment, personal motivation, and strong skill set.
In spring 2005, Concord Law School students participated in the Law
School Survey of Student Engagement (LSSSE.) It was one of the largest
surveys of JD students ever conducted. In total, more than 21,000
students responded to the survey questionnaire. Concord Law School
student responses were compared to like-size schools and the group as a
whole. In key comparisons, Concord Law School students were measured as
equally or more engaged with their law studies than their peers at
bricks and-mortar law schools. Our students asked questions or
contributed in class as frequently or more so than other respondents and
spent more time reading assigned texts and preparing for class. And,
perhaps as significant, more than 50 percent of Concord Law School's
students said they will graduate with zero debt.
We are proud of the caliber of legal education we offer and continue
to develop. The flexibility that our program offers, the access that we
can provide to students previously shut out of legal education, and the
fact that our learning platform and course of study suit the interests
and needs of today’s students make us confident that we have a
significant role to play in the evolution of legal education in the
coming years.
